چکیده

We calculate ∆I = 3/2 kaon decay matrix elements using domain wall fermions and the DBW2 gauge action at one coarse lattice spacing corresponding to a−1 = 1.3 GeV. We employ the Lellouch and Lüscher formula and its extention for non-zero total momentum to extract the infinite volume, center-of-mass frame decay amplitudes. The decay amplitudes obtained from the methods correspond to those from the indirect method with full order chiral perturbation theory. We confirm that the result is consistent with the previous result calculated with H-parity (antiperiodic) boundary condition by investigating the relative momentum dependence. We evaluate the decay amplitude ReA2 at the physical point by a chiral extrapolation with a polynomial function of mπ and the relative momentum as well as the ∆I = 3/2 electroweak penguin contributions to ε ′/ε . We found that the result of ReA2 reasonably agrees with the experiment.

Finite - Volume Partially - Quenched Two - Pion Amplitudes in the I = 0 Channel

We present a study of the finite-volume two-pion matrix elements and correlation functions of the I = 0 scalar operator, in full and partially quenched QCD, at one-loop order in chiral perturbation theory. In partially quenched QCD, when the sea and valence light quark masses are not equal, the lack of unitarity leads to the same inconsistencies as in quenched QCD and the matrix elements cannot...

Matrix Elements of Light Quarks

In this talk a review of theoretical and numerical results for matrix elements of light quark operators is presented. The review is focused on the definition, renormalization and improvement of operators relevant to different processes and on the evaluation of the corresponding physical amplitudes. At this Conference the main topics covered in the parallel sessions were electromagnetic and weak...

Using Lattice QCD and ChPT to obtain non-leptonic K-decay amplitudes

We summarize some of the difficulties that confront lattice calculations of non-leptonic kaon decay matrix elements. We review some of the methods that have been proposed to overcome these difficulties, and discuss the importance of one-loop ChPT in this respect, including the role of O(p) operators. In this talk, we will discuss some aspects of lattice computations of hadronic matrix elements,...

Weak transition matrix elements from finite-volume correlation functions

The two-body decay rate of a weakly decaying particle (such as the kaon) is shown to be proportional to the square of a well-defined transition matrix element in finite volume. Contrary to the physical amplitude, the latter can be extracted from finite-volume correlation functions in euclidean space without analytic continuation. The K → ππ transitions and other non-leptonic decays thus become ...
